Langasite（La2Ga5SiO14／LGS結晶）は、レーザ結晶としてだけではなく、表面弾性波（SAW）などの圧電素子としての一面を持ちます。高い電気機械結合指数と例のないQ-factorなどの高効率のブロードバンド周波数用デバイスに最適な特性をそなえています。

■ランガテイト■
Langatate（La3Ga5.5Ta0.5O14／LGT結晶）もLangasite同様に、センサー関連の材料として
有名になりつつあります。圧電特性を活かした圧力と振動センサーでは、600℃までは安定したセンサとして確立されており、
今後は900℃まで使用範囲が広がる可能性が高いと評価されている材料です。
